An initiative of the Portuguese Government , was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Sea - General Directorate of Policy of the Sea ( DGPM ) and the City of Lisbon and supported by three Portuguese business associations : Business Forum for the Economy of the Sea, Ocean XXI - cluster Knowledge and Economy of the Sea and ENERGYIN - Pole of Competitiveness and Energy Technology , the Lisbon Atlantic Conference in 2013 dedicated the theme
" Blue Growth of the Atlantic ."
The LAC 2013 held on 4 and 5 of December in the Lisbon Congress Centre , took place two years after the first Lisbon Atlantic Conference.
FCT attended the exhibition area with an allusive stand to training and research in the sea and coastal sciences and engineering, in order to show the work and interest in a very strategic area for Portugal, the Sea.
