FACiT (which means "do-it-yourself" in Latin), Association of Solidarity of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the New University of Lisbon (FCT NOVA), created in 2006, promoted last October 5th the 3th edition of this solidarity race which registered some 300 entries.
The winners of the men's race were: Diogo Santos Silva (1st), Felisberto Alves (2nd) and Marcos Estrela, who finished 3rd. In the women's race, the first three places went to: Beatriz Sanguino (1st), Sara Baptista (2nd) and Mª João Pires (3rd). This edition also counted with a M35 + race (for participants over 35 years). In this specific race, the male winners were: Ricardo Oliveira (1st), Ricardo Pita (2nd) and Francisco Azevedo (3rd). The female M35+ race was won by Antónia Jordão (1st), Fernanda Gil was in 2nd place and in 3rd place was for Ermelinda Mineiro.
This Association has as objectives the design, support, promotion and execution of social solidarity programs and actions for the benefit of FCT NOVA students or employees which are in need.
