Matthew J. Kushin

Matthew Kushin is an Associate Professor at the Department of Communication of Shepherd University and comes to give a talk on the theme "Social Media and the Connected Society".

This lecture, which will be held on May 16 at 2:00 pm at the Auditorium of the Library,   will be included in the first anniversary of the International Telegraph Convention and the International Telecommunication Union that will be take place next 17 of May.

Dr. Kushin recently obtained a Summer Scholarship on Professional Development from the Shepherd University Foundation to study the social networks and the political decisions of the electors of 2016.

In the Communication Department, MJK is Coordinator of Strategic Communication, which focuses on the intersection of public relations and social networks. In his classes he addresses topics such as Social Networks, Policy and Social Networks, Principles of PR, Strategic Campaigns, Communication Theories, Methods of Research in Communication, Research in Applied Communication, Communication and Social Networks, Writing in Platforms, Introduction to Mass Communication, Public Speaking, New Communication Technology.

He is the author of “Social Media Syllabus”, a popular blog and a resource tool for educators in the Social Networks area. He also directs ICBO One Global Digital Strategy for the organization of the International Congress of Behavioral Optometry.
