Former Dean returns to campus with the exhibition "Cores, Mitos e Formas"

Leopoldo Guimarães, former Rector of the NOVA University of Lisbon and Dean of the NOVA School of Science and Technology, returns to the Caparica campus with the painting exhibition “Cores, Mitos e Formas” (“Colors, Myths and Shapes”).

The opening is scheduled for January 18, at 5:00 pm, in the exhibition room of the FCT NOVA Library.

The exhibition, consisting of 26 paintings, enshrines the long artistic activity of the academic. The former rector and dean has dedicated much of his life to close relationships, in a markedly humanist dimension, trying to contribute to an integrated vision of science, art and culture, projecting this vision in what he writes and what he paints, as well as in the of relationships with people.

The travels he made around the world, in particular to the East and Africa, where he lived for about six years, decisively influenced his intervention in literature, poetry and visual arts. He held a painting exhibition at the LIGA Foundation (LIGARTE - October 19, 2009).

The exhibition will be open until the 24th of February
