03-03-2022

Turkey, Croatia, Angola and France are among the countries that were represented at the Welcome Day - Erasmus Students, which took place on March 2nd, in the Grand Auditorium.

The new foreign students, who will carry out a period of their studies at NOVA School of Science and Technology, under the mobility programs and cooperation protocols, were once again received in person with a welcome session and a tour of the campus, Almada and Costa de Caparica.

Most recognize that the quality of the school's teaching and its international reputation were a determining factor in choosing our School to study, along with the delightful weather and the sun.

“I chose Portugal because it is a very fun country, with an incredible climate, welcoming people who never sleep. And I selected FCT NOVA because it is very well placed in the international rankings as well as the professors who are on top of that among the best in their field”, explained Ayşe İdman, the student who came from Turkey to study Electrical Engineering at FCT NOVA.

In the welcome session, Virgílio Cruz Machado, Dean of the Faculty, recalled that the role of the academy is to generate synergies and collaborations that will in the near future be fundamental for the creation of knowledge, and that these exchange programs enhance these objectives. Also, present at the same session were Ricardo Jardim Gonçalves, Deputy Director for Internationalization, Isabel Sequeira Pinto, Head of the Academic Division, and Maria Gonçalves, Vice-President of the Students' Association.
