There are 56 researchers from NOVA FCT on the ranking list of the most cited scientists worldwide. This list, which results from the study known as the “World’s Top 2% Scientists list”, coordinated by John Ioannidis from Stanford University (California, USA), was recently updated, leading to a 14.3% increase in the School’s representation.
The study identified the 100,000 most influential researchers across 22 scientific areas and 176 disciplines, whose work has accelerated progress and productivity in their fields. From NOVA FCT, 35 researchers are among the most cited throughout their careers, and 45 researchers are listed for having the most impact in the past year.
