The Sustainable Campus Meeting 2018 (ECS 2018) is a working meeting between invited members of academic communities from national Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that aims to create the Sustainable Campus Network, a cooperation network for the sustainability of Portuguese campuses, promoting the exchange of experiences and the promotion of joint actions in all dimensions of a Sustainable Campus.
This meeting takes place following the 1st Sustainable Campus Virtual Meeting (EVCS) (https://www.uc.pt/efs/virtual_workshop_sustainable_campus) which took place on June 12, 2018, and brought together members of the communities of nine HEIs around the theme of sustainable management of campuses, in its multiple dimensions, such as efficiency in the use of resources, waste management, mobility, training, research, dynamizing the community, interaction with the surrounding communities and sustainability management. At the end of the EVCS, the participants unanimously decided to promote an extended meeting at the University of Coimbra.
