In the academic year 2012/2013 FCT NOVA developed its new curricular profile, which includes a period of approximately one month between semesters. This period aims to provide students with a set of soft skills through compulsory and optional training.
Facultative training allows students, teachers and non-teaching staff, to attend workshops widely valued by employers, which aim at personal enrichment and the construction of their CV at very competitive prices compared to those practiced in the market.
The compulsory courses, exclusive to students, consist of curricular stages, entrepreneurship and the development of transversal competences to science, such as time management, manipulation of spreadsheets or the relations between science, technology and society. The Interim Period 2018 kicks off on January 22 and features facultative training ranging from German to mindfulness, from smart communication to office software, from first aid to entrepreneurship.
