NOVA School of Science and Technology hosts the 1st edition of the Lisbon Young Mathematicians Conference on April 24

The first edition of the Lisbon Young Mathematicians Conference - LYMC 2021  will take place on April 24 at the NOVA School of Science and Technology. This is a joint initiative of the Schools of Mathematics from the NOVA School of Science and Technology , the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, the Lisbon School of Economics & Management, the "Instituto Superior Técnico" and Universidade Aberta.

The meeting aims to bring together Post-Doctoral, PhD and Master students from Universities in Lisbon and allow an environment conducive to the exchange of experiences and ideas among young researchers thus enhancing their scientific training.

The program includes the guest speakers Ana M. Bianco, from the University of Buenos Aires and CONITEC (Argentina), Carlos Vázques, from the University of La Coruña, and Rafael Ortega, from the University of Granada.

The initiative is supported by the Foundation for Science and Technology under the project UIDB / 00297/2020, from the  NOVA Math (Center for Mathematics and Applications ).
