Márcia Vilarigues, professor, researcher and president of the Department of Conservation and Restoration and of the ViCARTE research unit at the NOVA School of Science and Technology, is one of the invited speakers at the opening conference of the International Year of Glass 2022.
The date was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on May 18, 2021. The event, which brings together the most prominent experts in the field, marks the start of the various initiatives that will take place internationally throughout the year to celebrate the essential role that glass has and will continue to have in society.
The professor will be present at the lecture “Education in Glass Art and Science - challenges of transdisciplinary”.
The two-day opening event will take place at the Palace of Nations in Geneva and will be broadcasted via Zoom.
