The 28th edition of the International Conference on Liquid Crystals (ILCC2022), which gathers at FCT NOVA School of Science and Technology ( FCT NOVA) academics, experts and in the field, started on July 24.
This edition, that takes place in hybrid format (face-to-face and online) counted with two public lectures and with the invited speakers Nicholas Abbott, Cornell University; John Ball, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh; Dirk Broer, Eindhoven University of Technology; Agnes Buka, Wigner Research Centre for Physics; Timothy Bunning, United States Air Force; Luiz R. Since 1965, when the first ILCC was organised at Kent State University, all ILCC meetings have been outstanding events in which the liquid crystal community comes together to bring up the latest discoveries and ideas.
The event was organised by FCT NOVA, in partnership with the Portuguese Liquid Crystal Society, The International Liquid Crystal Society, University of Lisbon and Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa.
