The "Women Engineers For A Day" programme (Engenheiras por um dia) is a finalist in the "Women in ICT Careers" category of the European Digital Skills Awards 2023.
Since 2016, this award distinguishes and promotes best practices across Europe in digital skills. This edition received the highest number of applications of its history.
NOVA FCT is one of the partners of the "Engineers for a Day" program since its initial edition, a path that reinforces the School's efforts in raising awareness about ICT among young people.
"Engineers for a Day" has reached more than 12,500 young people in primary and secondary education, since its creation in 2017, through various activities, including laboratory practices, role model sessions and mentoring.
This award is organised by the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform of the European Commission in collaboration with the National Skills and Jobs Coalition. The winners will be announced on June 28.
