On the upcoming 28th of July, the celebration ceremony of the 47th anniversary of Arrábida Natural Park will honor the recent classification of Brecha da Arrábida as a 'World Heritage Stone' (Heritage Stone).
During the ceremony, the Dean of NOVA FCT, José Julio Alferes, will present the certificate from International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) to the Mayor of Setúbal.
The event will feature a speech by José Carlos Kullberg, professor, and researcher at the Department of Earth Sciences of NOVA FCT, who led the classification process of this geological heritage.
The Regional Director of Nature and Forest Conservation of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, ICNF, will also be in attendance.

The event, organized by the ICNF, will take place in the Cloisters of Convento de Jesus Setúbal at 4 p.m..
