FCT NOVA announces 75 job opportunities for Mobilising Agendas consortia

01-02-2023

The NOVA School of Science and Technology announces the opening of more 75 position among grant holders, researchers and technicians, under the 14 consortia of the Mobilizing Agendas for Business Innovation funded by the Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PRR) in which our School participates. The key targets of these competitions are recent graduates, Master's degree holders and PhD researchers in the following research  areas: Sustainability, Bioeconomy, Zero Carbon, Digital Transformation, Technological Innovation and Circular Economy.

The vacancies announced, that will run throughout 2023, are divided between 37 scholarships applications for Bachelor's and Master's degrees, but also 38 vacancies for junior researchers, and assistants and technicians who will support the entire development process of these 14 consortia, receiving a total funding of around 19 million euros from the RRP.

Among the 14 approved consortia are distinct projects: from one that proposes to explore insects as an alternative in food and cosmetics, to a project focused on the development of cellulose-based products (to replace fossil plastics), or to create a new value chain in the space economy and offer solutions to manage traffic in space.

"Bringing together academia and business to find the most effective solutions for the resilience of our economy is increasingly crucial. For the 14 consortia in which FCT NOVA participates, under the Mobilising Agendas, it will be necessary to find the best highly qualified talents that have the ability to respond to the strategic objectives of these projects," say Eurico Cabrita, Vice-Dean for Innovation and Research at NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA.

The Mobilising Agendas are the largest business support programme integrated in the RRP, with the aim of increasing competitiveness and resilience of the economy based on Research and Development (R&D).
