The Master’s Degree in Agri-Food Systems, Innovation and Sustainability (taught in an online format) offers advanced, interdisciplinary training focused on the current challenges facing agri-food systems.

The program integrates science, technology, innovation, and sustainability, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of food production, processing, distribution, and consumption.

Embedded in a context of academic excellence, this master’s program emphasizes critical thinking, applied research, and engagement with society, contributing to the development of more sustainable and resilient agri-food systems.

Bolsa de Estudo "Impulso Mestre"

Esta bolsa, no valor de 450 euros, está disponível a todos os estudantes que:
a) Estejam matriculados, pela primeira vez, no primeiro ano de um segundo ciclo de estudos (mestrado) da NOVA FCT;
b) Tenham concluído a licenciatura com uma classificação final igual ou superior a 15 valores;
c) Tenham concluído a licenciatura numa instituição de ensino superior nacional ou de um Estado-Membro da União Europeia.

Nota: Apenas são elegíveis os candidatos cuja edição do curso decorra na NOVA FCT

Os resultados serão divulgados em novembro de 2026.

Programa

The Master’s Degree in Agri-Food Systems, Innovation and Sustainability is an online trainning Master's, offering an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to agri-food systems, bringing together sustainability, innovation, and science. It explores the dynamics of food production, processing, distribution, and consumption, framed within the sector’s current challenges. Engagement with applied research and real-world contexts strengthens a critical and up-to-date perspective on food systems.

Plano curricular

Para quem

  • Holders of a bachelor’s degree (pre-Bologna or first cycle of the Bologna Process) in any area of Natural Sciences, Exact Sciences, Technology, related fields, or legal equivalent, with a minimum of 180 ECTS credits.
  • Holders of a foreign higher academic degree in these areas, recognized as meeting the objectives of a bachelor’s degree by the Scientific Committee of the Master’s Degree in Agri-Food Systems, Innovation and Sustainability. Approval by the Scientific Council of the NOVA School of Science and Technology is required, following acceptance by the Course’s Scientific Committee.
  • Candidates with an academic, scientific, or professional background recognized by the Scientific Committee of the Master’s Degree in Agri-Food Systems, Innovation and Sustainability as demonstrating the capacity to undertake this cycle of studies.
