More than 50 students participated in the summer schools in physics that the School organised.
The internship allowed the introduction to some programming and control techniques, their integration and application in the manipulation of some technologies, as well as the experimentation in autonomous sailboats, through fun experiences that brought the students closer to this area of knowledge.
This year we welcomed 126 students who came to learn more about science and engineering at the Caparica Campus.
The MAR2PROTECT project, coordinated by researchers Ana B. Pereiro and João M. M. Araújo, received funding exceeding (talvez "of above") 4 million euros under the Research and Innovation Actions of the Horizon Europe Programme.
In these internships were received 11 high school students who had the opportunity to know the laboratories of NOVA School of Science and Technology and the Caparica campus.
In addition to these internships, the Department of Mathematics offers two summer schools with the aim of deepening knowledge in the area and guiding students on professional opportunities and applications of mathematics.
The partnership with this programme is already 25 years old and has created space to show the younger students paths for their academic and professional future.
