Víctor López-Rojas and Octávio Mateus - the first a PhD student and the second a professor from the Department of Earth Sciences at the NOVA School of Science & Technology | FCT NOVA - have discovered a new species of phytosaur, a bizarre crocodile-like reptile from the Late Triassic, with over than 215 million years of sediment from rivers and lakes in Jameson Land, Greenland.
During the four days of the largest fair dedicated to education, training and employability in the country, the School is being represented by a dozen volunteers who, between experiments and demonstrations, promote the educational offer of our School.
The event, organised by the Afonsina music grouptuna, took place at Centro Cultural Vila Flor, in Guimarães, between 17 and 18 March.
Since 1993, NTNU has honoured this historic figure in science and engineering with the Lars Onsager Lecture and the Lars Onsager Professorship, which recognise leading international scholars in the fields of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
